Taj Mahal, Jaipur and Kerala Vacations :

Day 01: Leave Country of Residence

Day 02: Arrive Delhi

Lotus TempleUpon arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal 2 you are met and transferred to your pre booked Hotel.
Afternoon visit to Lotus Temple
Lotus Temple is one of the remarkable architectures of Bahai faith. It is located at Kalkaji in New Delhi. The temple looks like a lotus flower and is made of marble, cement, dolomite and sand. The Lotus Temple has no restrictions for visitors and is open to people from all religions. The place provides immaculate environment for meditation, peace and wisdom. The Bahai temple was completed in 1986. Since then the temple has received recognition from all over the world for its splendid architecture and design. Lotus Temple is among the most visited monuments in India. The credit for building this beautiful structure goes to the Persian architect Fariborz Sahba from Canada.

Day 03: Delhi
Jama Masjid

This morning we visit Old Delhi, built in the 17th century by Shah Jehan the Magnificent (who also built the Taj Mahal). First we will be visiting the famous Jama Masjid mosque with its 9,000 sq. ft. courtyard, three domes and two minarets, and then proceed to the massive complex known as the Red Fort.

Afternoon we'll visit Lakshmi Narayan Temple, a Spectacular structure that's just 60 years old , and then proceed via India Gate and the Governmental building to Qutab Minar, the 240 foot tower built in 1190 to commemorate the arrival of Islam in India, and the Crafts Museum, which replicates and Indian street with over 50 artists and craftspeople at work.

Day 04: Delhi - Agra (By Private Car 205 Kms, 4 ½ hrs Drive) Via Sikandra
SikandraAfter breakfast depart for Agra en route Mathura birth land of Lord Krishna. Visiting the Bankey Bihari temple, ISKCON temple and other temples in and around Vrindavan. After visit continue to drive to Agra, en route take a stop over at Sikandra to see the Tomb of Mughal Emperor Akbar. after visit continue to drive to Agra, Upon arrival in Agra check in at your pre booked Hotel. The evening free for individual activities and relax.

Day 05: Agra
Taj Mahal - AgraEarly morning, visit to witness the incomparable Taj Mahal with it’s speculative view at the time of Sunrise. Taj Mahal, the architectural modern day wonder of the world; this monument is a fine example of the fusion of many architectural styles is one of the wonders of the modern world. Taj Mahal, endowed it with some of the loveliest buildings in the world. This is a breathtaking view- the mausoleum built by a sorrowing Shah Jehan in memory of his young wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The Building’s stupendous scale, flawless symmetry, translucent white marble and shimmering reflection in the water channel are truly breathtaking.
(Note : Every Friday Taj Mahal is closed)
After viewing Taj Mahal we return to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast tour continues with a visit to the Agra Fort from here one can get the most moving view of the Taj from the little octagonal tower in the Agra Fort, which lies, across the river Jamuna, followed by visit to Pearl Mosque and the Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah built by Empress Noorjehan in memory of her Father

Day 06: Agra - Jaipur (By Private Car 250 Kms, 5 - 6 hrs Drive) Via Fatehpursikri
Fatehpur SikriAfter breakfast checkout and drive to Jaipur en route visit Old deserted town of Mughal Dynasty - Fatehpur Sikri built in red sandstone in honor of Saint Salim Chisti who foretold the birth of 3 sons to Emperor Akbar, is an example of robust stability combined with originality. Each important edifice here represents a type by itself. Notable among them is the Diwane Khas; Punch Mahal, the Tomb of Salim Chisti, and the Buland Darwaza. Later continue to proceed to Jaipur. Upon arrival in Jaipur check in at your pre booked Hotel

Day 07: Jaipur
Jaipur HandicraftsToday after breakfast explore the Pink City with an excursion to Amber Fort, situated just outside the city, enjoy the experience of ride on elephant back to and from the top of the hill on which the fort is situated. Afternoon sightseeing tour of City Palace in the heart of Jaipur is known for its blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Not far away is the Central Museum. Jantar Mantar is the largest of the five observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh. The Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds was constructed for the royal ladies to watch the royal processions without being seen, all monuments are located in the vicinity of City Palace Complex of Jaipur. Later late afternoon is kept free to visit the famous Markets of Textiles, Gems, Carpets, and handicrafts. Jaipur is an ideal place for buying souvenirs. One can also visit Nahargarh Fort to see it illuminated over the floodlights. Return to the hotel for overnight.

Day 08: Jaipur – Mumbai – Cochin (By Flight)

CochinMorning you are transferred to Jaipur Airport to board flight for Mumbai. Upon arrival in Mumbai Airport you connect your onward flight for Cochin. Upon arrival in Cochin Airport you are met and transferred to your pre booked hotel
In the Evening witness the Famous Kathakali Dance performance performed by professional artists in an A/C auditorium.

Day 09: Cochin

CochinMorning city tour of Cochin visiting Jewish synagogue – the oldest synagogue in the entire commonwealth, St. Francis Church, St. Mary’s Cathedral, Cochin Harbour, Terminus, Chinese Fishing Nets, Mattancherry Dutch Palace built by the Portuguese is known for its murals depicting scenes from the Ramayana and the Mahabharata and dresses and palanquins used by Cochin’s erstwhile rulers.

Day 10: Cochin-Kumarakom (By Private Car 100 Kms, 2 ½ hrs Drive)

After breakfast leave by Private Car for Kumarakom. Kumarakom - for the nature-lover. Here in this backwater town, you can laze in a canoe amidst sylvan surroundings where the only presence is yours and the egrets. Upon arrival in Kumarakom check in at your pre booked Hotel.

Day 12: Kumarakom- Start One Night Houseboat
HouseboatAfter breakfast you are transferred to Kumarakom Jetty to board Houseboat. Cruise through the back water of Kerala, on the way you can see traditional Kerala Village life remind unchanged for many years you also witness the merchants selling vegetables in a boat while the village people await at the bank of Vembanad Lake. Here your crew will prepare delicious Keralian meals from freshly brought vegetables from the market.

Day 13: Houseboat disembarks at Alleppey - Kovalam (175 Kms, 4-5 hrs Drive)
After breakfast Houseboat disembarks at Alleppey at 10:00 hrs and proceed for Kovalam. The coastal village of Kovalam may lie just 10 km south of Thiruvananthapuram but, as Kerala's most developed beach resort, it’s a world away from the rest of the state. Upon arrival in Kovalam check in at your pre booked Hotel.
