Day 01 : Leave Country of  Residence

Day 02 : Arrive Kolkata

Upon arrival in Kolkata Airport you are met and transferred to your pre booked Hotel.
Afternoon start our city tour of Calcutta - once the capital of the British Empire, still remains the cultural capital of India with a strong tradition in literature and fine arts. It is also the gateway to the beautiful North Eastern state of India, where the visitor can only gaze in wonder at their pristine beauty. The city tour includes visit to the Fort William, Victoria memorial, St Paul’s cathedral, Birla Planetarium and the Botanical gardens.

Day 03 : Kolkata - Bagdogra (by flight)
Bagdogra – Darjeeling (by Private Car 93 Kms, 2 ½ hrs Drive)

Today we are transferred to the Kolkata airport to take flight to Bagdogra. Upon arrival in Bagdogra we drive to “ Queens of Hills “ Darjeeling through forest and Tea Plantations. Upon arrival in Darjeeling check in at your pre booked Hotel.

Day 04 : Darjeeling

Early Morning drive to Tiger Hills to see Sunrise. On the return Journeys Visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. Return to Hotel Breakfast. Darjeeling sightseeing visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Himalayan Zoological Park, Observatory Hill, Refugee Self Help center, and view point. Evening walk around town

Toy Train ride and Tea Garden tour to witness the manufacturing process in the factory

Day 06 : Darjeeling - Pemayangtse (by Private car 75 Kms, 2 hrs Drive)

Pemayangtse MonasteryMorning leave by Private Car for Pemayangtse. Upon arrival in Pemayangtse check in at your pre booked Hotel.
Afternoon Visit Pemayangtse Monastery and Rabdentse Palace ruins. Evening walk around small town and quiet village area

Day 07 : Pemayangtse - Gangtok (By Private Car 117 Kms, 3 hrs Drive)

After breakfast leave by Private Car for Gangtok via Legship, Kewzing and singtam. Upon arrival in Gangtok check in at your pre booked hotel

Day 08 : Gangtok

GangtokEarly Morning drive to Tashi View Point to see sunrise Return to hotel for breakfast Gangtok sightseeing. Gangtok, capital of Sikkim, meaning ‘ Hill Top ‘ was established in 1716 A.D. Interesting sightseeing areas are Enchay Monastery (212 years old) built on a site blessed by Lama Druptab Karpo, a tantric manster known for his power of flying. Research institute of Tibetology, horten etc Afternoon visit to Rumtek Monastery (24 Km ) First built in 1717 A.D. It was rebuilt by His Holiness Gyalwa Karmapa of Kagyupa Sect, the 16th Incarnation. Since his death in 1982, the devotees waited for fifteen years to discover the 17th. Incarnate in Tibet. He is in India, but yet to come to his Monastery in Sikkim. The style of the monastery is traditional, a copy of its Tibetan origin.

Day 09 : Gangtok - Chalsa (By Private Car 250 Kms, 5 hrs Drive)

After breakfast leave by Private Car for Chalsa. Upon arrival in Chalsa check in at your pre booked hotel
Later visit Guru Mara Wild Life Sanctuary

Day 10 : Chalsa - Phuntsholing (By Private Car 110 Kms, 2 ½ hrs Drive)
Phuntsholing - Thimpu (By Private Car 180 Kms, 6 hrs Drive)

After breakfast leave by Private car for Phuntsholing. Upon arrival in Phuntsholing you are transferred by private car for Thimpu. Later visit Kharbandi Gompa, the beautiful monastery situated in garden of tropical plants and flowers. The monastery contains paintings depicting scenes from the life of Buddha and statues of Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal and Guru Rimpoche. From the monastery garden there is a splendid view of Phuntsholing and plains of West Bangal and their tea gardens beyond.
Proceed further to Thimpu. This entire drive is very pleasant with numerous scenic spots en route. Lunch would be served at Bunakha
cafetria, Fives miles, before Thimpu, visit Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress of the Kingdom which now houses the School for religious and cultural studies.

Day 11 : Thimpu

ThimpuThimpu, perhaps the most unusual capital city in the world, is the seat of government. This bustling town is home to Bhutan's royal
family, the civil servants, and foreign missions with representation in Bhutan. It is also the headquarters for a number of internationally funded development projects.
Today's sightseeing of Thimpu includes the following: National Library, which holds a vast collection of ancient Buddhist texts and manuscripts, some dating back several hundred years, as well as modern academic books mainly on Himalayan culture and religion;
Textile and Folk Heritage Museum: These museums, both of which opened in 2001, provide fascinating insights into Bhutanese material
culture and way of life. National Memorial Chorten: The building of this landmark was envisaged by the third king, His Majesty Jigme Dorji Wang chuck, as a monument to world peace and prosperity. Completed in 1974 after his untimely death, it is both a memorial to the Late King ("the Father of modern Bhutan") and a monument to world peace. The paintings and statues inside the monument provide a deep insight into Buddhist philosophy Trashichhodzong: This impressive fortress/monastery houses Secretariat building, the throne room of His Majesty, the King and various government offices. It is also the summer residence of Chief Abbot and central monk body.
Handicrafts Emporium: This government-run enterprise displays a wide range of beautifully hand-woven textiles and craft products. It also carries a small collection of books on Bhutan, Buddhism and Himalayan culture.

Day 12 : Thimpu - Punakha (By Private Car 70 Kms, 2 hrs Drive)

Morning, Thimpu sightseeing, visiting National Library, which holds a vast collection of ancient Buddhist texts and manuscripts, some dating back several hundred years, as well as modern academic books mainly on Himalayan culture and religion. Then visit, Institute for Zorig Chusum (commonly known as Painting School) where students undertake a six-year course on the 13 traditional arts and crafts of Bhutan;
After lunch, drive up to Dochu-la pass (3,088m/ 10,130 ft) stopping briefly here to take in the view and admire the chorten, mani wall, and prayer flags which decorate the highest point on the road. If skies are clear, the following peaks can be seen from this pass (left to right): Masagang (7,158m), Tsendagang (6,960m), Terigang (7,060m ), Jejegangphugang (7,158 m ), Kangphugang (7,170 m), Zongphugang (7, 060 m ), a table mountain that dominates the isolated region of Lunana - finally Gangkar puensum, the highest peak in Bhutan at 7,497m On arrival, check into the hotel. Evening visit Punakha Dzong, the fortress of 17th century and later visit to Khamsm Yulley Namgyal Chhorten.

Day 13 : Punakha – Paro (By Private Car 143 Kms, 4-5 hrs Drive)

After breakfast drive to Paro. Upon arrival in Paro check in at your pre booked Hotel
Later visit Ta Dzong : once a watchtower, built to defend
Rinpung Dzong during inter-valley wars of the 17th century, Ta Dzong was inaugurated as Bhutan's National Museum in 1968. It holds fascinating collection of art, relics, religious thangkha paintings and Bhutan's exquisite postage stamps. The museum circular shape
augments its varied collection displayed over several floors  fterwards, walk down a hillside trail to visit Rinpung Dzong, which has a long and fascinating history. Built in 1646 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal , the first spiritual and temporal ruler of Bhutan, the Dzong houses the monastic body of Paro, the office of the Dzongda (district administrative head) and Thrimpon (judge) of Paro district. The approach to the Dzong is through a traditional covered bridge called Nemi Zam. A walk through the bridge, over a stone inlaid path, offers a good view of the architectural wonder of the Dzong as well as life around it. It is also the venue of Paro Tshechu, held once a year in the spring.

Day 14 : Paro

Morning excursion to Taktshang Monastery (5hrs hike):  It is one of the most famous of Bhutan's monasteries, perched on the side of a cliff 900m above the Paro valley floor. It is said that Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of a tigress and meditated at this monastery and hence it is called 'Tiger's Nest'. This site has been recognized as a most sacred place and visited by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal in 1646 and now visited by all Bhutanese at least once in their lifetime. On 19 April, 1998, a fire severely damaged the main structure of building but now this Bhutanese jewel has been restored to its original splendor.
Afternoon Visit  Drukgyel Dzong: This Dzong, with a delightful village nestling at its foot, was built in 1646 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal to commemorate his victory over the Tibetan invaders. Historically and strategically this Dzong withstood all its glory and was
featured in 1914 vide National Geographic magazine. The glory of Drukgyel Dzong remained even when it was destroyed by fire in 1951.
On a clear day, one can see the commanding view of Mount. Chomolhari from the village, below the Dzong.
Kyichu Lakhang : It is one of the oldest and most sacred shrines of the Kingdom dating back to 7th century (the other is Jambey Lhakahng in Bumthang). The lhakhang complex is composed of two temples. The first temple was built by Tibetan King, Songtsen Gampo in the 7th century and in 1968, H.M. Ashi Kesang, the Queen Mother of Bhutan, built the second temple in same original pattern.

Day 15 : Paro - Delhi (by flight)
Today you are transferred to the Paro Airport to board flight for Delhi. Upon arrival at Delhi airport you are met and transferred to your pre booked hotel.

Today you are transferred to Delhi International Airport to board flight Back Home
